West Indies clinched the ICC World T20 2012 after outplaying hosts Sri Lanka in a one-sided contest at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Sri Lanka needing only 138 to chase made a complete mess because of the soft approach from its top order.

Mahela Jayawardene believes that Sri Lanka has the capacity to defeat West Indies in the Final of the ICC World T20. Mahela says that his team is not thinking about the 2009 Final of the World T20 which they lost against Pakistan.

Hosts Sri Lanka have been undefeated so far in the ICC World T20 2012, winning six matches on the trot! West Indies would like to spoil that record by beating them in tonight’s final at the R Premadasa Stadium.

Sri Lanka and West Indies, arguably the two best teams in the competition, have made it to the summit clash. Although from here only one side will walk away with the trophy, both the teams can go away with their heads held high, irrespective of the result on Sunday.

West Indies will certainly challenge hosts Sri Lanka in tomorrow’s Final of the ICC World T20 2012. Sri Lanka might be packed with good spinners and pacers but against a power-hitting West Indies team, things may not be that easy as it was against the other teams.
